Jaymie Koroluk is the Manager, Teaching and Learning Centre. She is available for consultation on a wide variety of areas related to teaching and learning, ranging from course organization and design, to teaching strategies, assessment and other forms of pedagogical support. She also facilitates workshops on a variety of topics related to teaching and educational technology.
Jaymie earned a Bachelor of Education and a BA in Visual Art from the University of Regina, and holds a Master of Education in Educational Design and Technology from the University of Saskatchewan. Her areas of focus include instructional design, adult education, and self-directed learning.

Jeanette Oliveira is the Administrative Assistant in the Teaching and Learning Centre. In her role she is responsible for university-wide course evaluations, faculty workshop organization, new faculty orientation, event planning and administrative support to both the Manager, Teaching and Learning Centre and to the department. Her research interests include education and digital technologies and e-learning.
Jeanette holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Education at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

Bridgette Atkins is a Faculty Development Officer for the Teaching and Learning Centre. She is available to meet with faculty, sessional instructors, staff and graduate students who are interested in discussing issues related to their teaching practices. She can also provide training on learning technologies such as Blackboard, Turnitin and Respondus.
Bridgette has completed a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree through Trent University at UOIT, as well as a Bachelor of Education through UOIT and is currently studying in the Master of Education program at UOIT. Prior to becoming a part of the Teaching and Learning Centre, Bridgette gained experience facilitating educational film-making workshops for children and adolescents. She is interested in the integration of digital technology at all levels of education.

Matthew Stranach is a Faculty Development Officer for the Teaching and Learning Centre. He is available to assist faculty, staff, and graduate students from throughout the UOIT community. Matt has taught communications courses for the College of the North Atlantic – Qatar, and worked as an online instructor for education graduate students. Matt has a Bachelor of Education, a Master of Education with a specialization in Instructional Design, and is a Candidate for an Educational Technology Doctorate. His interests include curriculum development, instructional design, and teaching and learning in both blended and fully online settings.

With over 13 years of experience in the design industry, Steven Crawford has had the opportunity to work with a variety of companies including the Toronto Blue Jays and Rogers Communications. In June of 2012, Steven joined the Teaching and Learning Centre as a multimedia developer.
Steven is responsible for video production, photography, and the creation of learning objects. He also provides educational technology support and training for Turning Point and Respondus.

Shannon Brandejs - On Leave
Shannon has been working at the Teaching and Learning Centre as a multimedia developer since 2008. She is responsible for the creation and development of educational resources such as websites, videos, diagrams, photos, learning objects, and posters. She also provides educational technology technical support and training for UOIT faculty. She is a graduate of the Media Studies Program at the University of Western Ontario, and the Multimedia Design Program at Fanshawe College. Shannon has a graduate certificate in Learning and Technology from Royal Roads University, and completed her masters of Education in 2016. Her research interests include self-directed learning, online learning, and educational video.

Joseph Garofalo is a Multimedia Developer for the Teaching and Learning Centre. He works to develop training materials and provides software training to faculty, staff and teaching assistants who are interested in providing a technology and media enriched learning environment for students.
Prior to becoming a part of the Teaching and Learning Centre, Joseph has gained experience working in the Film and Television industry as a Producer and Technical Producer. Starting a video production company stemmed from that experience as he wanted to help people tell their story creatively. Joseph specializes in video production and provides support for Camtasia and Kaltura.

Michael Guy is an Educational Technology Analyst for the Teaching and Learning Centre. He works with internal and external partners to research, test, and implement educational solutions to improve the teaching and learning experience. He also provides educational training and support to faculty, and, in addition works on developing data driven solutions.
Michael has a certificate in Adult Education from Seneca College, is a graduate of the Microcomputer Technician program at George Brown College, and holds several technology certifications from IBM and Sun Microsystems. Prior to UOIT, Michael developed business related applications in banking, commercial real estate, and a number of other industries.
Michael is currently working on the John Hopkins University Coursera Data Science Specialization capstone project in Natural Language Processing, and is also a core member of a global collaborative experiment in Immersive Storytelling called Sherlock Holmes and the Internet of Things (http://sherlockholmes.io)
