A range of tools are available to UOIT instructors, students and staff through UOITnet (GSuite for education). This interactive workshop provides an introduction to tools available within the GSuite that may be used for various teaching and learning activities. As examples, some of these tools may be used to help facilitate collaboration, the collection of feedback, or the enhanced accessibility of course documents. Tools that will be explored include Google docs, forms, sheets, and the Read & Write extension.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Locate the tools that are available through the UOITnet GSuite
  • Create and share new Google docs, forms and sheets
  • Identify at least 3 ways Google tools may be used in a course, workshop or other learning activity


  • Access to the Internet
  • Registrants who do not already have a UOITnet account can request one at at least 1 business day in advance of the workshop
