This workshop is an introduction to our LMS integrated video management system Kaltura and participants will have an opportunity after the workshop to stay in the drop in session for additional support.

Learning Objectives

You will be able to:

  • Upload and embed media into content items and the media gallery.
  • Record webcam and audio using Kaltura Capturespace.
  • Associate caption files.
  • Explore editing features.


  • Network access and access to Blackboard
  • Windows 10 / Mac OSX Laptop (Kaltura Capturespace not supported on Android/IoS devices)
  • Have downloaded and installed Kaltura Capturespace

This workshop will provide you with a basic understanding of Camtasia Studio. Camtasia 9 is a piece of software that is used for screen-recording and video editing.  You can use it to produce professional and attractive videos for your class such as lecturettes, step by step instructions or tutorials.

Learning Objectives:

This workshop will:

  • Discuss best practices for creating engaging video content
  • Demonstrate Camtasia 9’s editing capabilities and features
  • Learn the optimal settings for exporting a video for your class

  • Please ensure that you have installed Camtasia 9 on your laptop before this workshop. If you do not have this program and would like to request it, please complete a software request form. Note: This form is only compatible with Internet Explorer.
