Have you ever seen a TED Talk, and thought that you wished you could make your lectures as engaging? Have you ever followed someone on social media, and felt close to them even though you had never met them before? Have you ever seen a well-put together course online, and considered doing something similar? The production value of videos made by regular people on websites like YouTube has been improving each year. Websites like LinkedIn and Google+ have made development of a professional online presence more important. Having attractive slides or a nicely composed portrait can help improve your first impression and credibility to students. Using well-designed course content will make your material easier to read and understand. This 2 hour workshop is designed to give you actionable steps to improve the look and feel of your course. We hope to improve your confidence in your multimedia with easy rules and useful tools to take your presentation skills to the next level.

 

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
• Utilize design principles to improve cohesion, accessibility, and professionalism
• Identify what looks good with other people’s multimedia, and how you can make your multimedia the same
• Access a curated list of easy to use websites and software to make your course look better
