Description:

This workshop provides instructors with an introduction to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). It will include an overview of methodologies commonly used in SoTL projects including action research, case study research, narrative inquiry, and others.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify SoTL publications related to their respective subject areas.
  • Describe the characteristics of methodologies commonly used in SoTL projects including: action research, case study research, narrative inquiry, and others.
  • Create the first draft of a plan for a publication in a peer-reviewed SoTL journal or website.

Requirements:

  • Access to the Internet.
  • We recommend you use a headset for the break out sessions.
