This workshop provides instructors with the opportunity to explore and discuss the foundations of a Teaching Dossier. The teaching dossier is widely used by university academics to document their teaching skills and responsibilities and to provide evidence of the quality of their teaching practice. In this workshop the key components of the teaching dossier  the “Teaching Philosophy Statement” will be discussed.  

Learning Objectives:

This workshop will:

  • Have a clear understanding of teaching dossier.
  • Understand the benefits of teaching dossier.
  • Understand the basics of developing a teaching dossier.
  • Provide insight into Tenure and Promotion Processes.   


  • Complete the pre-session learning activity which will be provided via email.
